FORMER CUF MPS FLOP AT HIGH COURT
Dar es Salaam. Former eight Civic United Special Seats MPs have today flopped in their first attempt use the court to regain their seats.
High Court in Dar es Salaam has dismissed their petition seeking an injunction order to bar the Parliament from swearing new members who have been picked to replace them in the law making organ.
If they don’t appeal, there will now be any block to have the eight replacements be admitted by Parliament.
But they have a main case pending in which they contest their party decision to strip them of their membership, which made them lose their Parliament seats.
The eight were sacked by a faction lead by the party Chairman, Prof Ibrahim Lipumba, for indiscipline and breach of party constitution.
